Food and drink vouchers should be OK, but think carefully before accepting a full or partial Aer Lingus delayed flight refund if offered to you on the day.

Eligibility to Claim

To be eligible for cancelled flight compensation from Aer Lingus, you should have been affected in one of these ways:

1. Your seat was double-booked and you were not allowed to board OR
2. Your flight arrived more than three hours late at its final airport OR
3. Your flight was cancelled within 14 days of its scheduled departure

Any delay or cancellation should be something the airline could have reasonably anticipated. In extreme circumstances, such as natural disasters, the airline might not be held responsible for disrupting your flight.

If the airline provides an alternative flight with a slightly later arrival time, you may still get 50% of the above amounts if you arrive:

• Less than two hours lаte on flights less than 1,500 km
• Less than three hours lаte on EU flights over 1,500 km аnԁ non-EU flights between 1,500 аnԁ 3,500 km
• Less than four hours lаte on non-EU flights over 3,500 km
