If you opt to travel on an alternative route and are required to wait, the airline must provide you with care. This includes free meals and refreshments, access to two free telephone calls, and the ability to use email or send a fax. If you are required to wait overnight or longer, you must also be provided with free hotel accommodation, including transport between the airport and the hotel.
