Josefa González Blanco, an environment minister in Mexico, reportedly asked an executive friend in Aeroméxico to hold the flight for her, forcing a plane that was already taxiing to turn back.
Apparently more than 300 Boeing 737 planes around the world are flying with parts that have serious manufacturing deficiencies. 179 are the of the MAX version, and all of those are already grounded. However, 133 are of the older 737NG generation. You are unlikely to face flight disruption due to this grounding, but if you do, know that plane manufacturing issues are considered not worthy of compensation!
