Flybe might have been rescued by Virgin Atlantic and co., but the airline still has some ways to go before becoming profitable. This might have resulted in staff shortages that saw the airline cancel dozens of flights this week, badly affecting Belfast.

Last Saturday, an Easyjet Airbus A320-200 was climbing from Munich to fly to London when the crew reported a bird strike. They stopped the climb, returned to Munich and landed safely. The flight was cancelled.
On Sunday, a British Airways flight from Venice to London experienced issues (electrical fumes in the cockpit) over Switzerland. It diverted to Basle/Mulhouse and landed 25 minutes later. After spending 2,5 hours on the ground, it left for Gatwick, where it arrived about 3 hours later. Depending on the exact length of the delay, this might be claimable!
A Lufthansa flight on Tuesday experienced issues while underway from Frankfurt to Delhi. It reported the hydraulic issue in the vicinity of Tehran and returned to Frankfurt, where it landed 4 hours and 15 minutes later. If the hydraulic issue was due to maintenance and not a manufacturing defect, this seems claimable!
On Thursday, a Delta Airlines Airbus A330-300 was taking off from Amsterdam for a flight to Minneapolis (USA) when the crew requested permission to return to Amsterdam, declaring an emergency due electrical odour in the cabin and other electrical issues. The aircraft landed safely. Afterwards, it was discovered that a cabin air extraction fan had failed and the cabin intercommunication data system was faulty. The plane took off 3,5 hours later and was late to reach Minneapolis by the same amount. Smells like a delayed flight claim!
A Transavia Boeing 737-800 experienced equipment cooling issues while flying from Amsterdam to Malaga. They landed back in Amsterdam. After spending 1,5 hours on the ground, it reached Malaga with a delay of 2,5 hours.
