After air traffic controllers strike at the beginning of April, employees of the Marseille Network Manager Operations Center, who manage air traffic control operations, decided to go on strike as well. It’s a second time when employees of the aviation industry in Marseille are going on strike.
As was announced, staff members of the Marseille Network Manager Operation Center will be on strike from the 28th to the 30th of April. It’s expected, that delayed and cancelled flights are possible at Marseille Provence International Airport (MRS) and other airports on those days. Travelers should be prepared for delays and cancellations.
“A number of strikes are increasing every year. Unfortunately, but passengers usually have their flights delayed or even cancelled because of these. But even during this kind of flight disruptions passengers have their rights. Carriers need to take care of their customers according to the EC 261/2004 Regulation,” comments Marius Stonkus, the CEO of flight compensation company Skycop.
