According to the Eurocontrol information, air traffic controllers (ATC) will hold the 3rd strike in Marseille. Area Control Centre employees announced that they are going on strike this weekend from the 12th to 13th of May.
These actions of strikes began last month when air traffic controllers started demanding salary increases. It seems, that employees did not find a common solution with the management. It is already known that passengers will be affected by the delayed and cancelled flights.
“A number of strikes are increasing every year. Unfortunately, but passengers usually have their flights delayed or even cancelled because of these. But even during this kind of flight disruptions passengers have their rights. Carriers need to take care of their customers according to the EC 261/2004 Regulation,” comments Marius Stonkus, the CEO of flight compensation company Skycop.
