Air Transat Compensation Eligibility

  • When You Are Eligible

    You might get compensation or refund from Air Transat if:

    - Your delay was 3 hours or more.
    - A flight cancellation happened without warning.
    - You got denied boarding because of overbooking.
    - You missed a connection and arrived 3+ hours late.

    Note that EC 261 rules apply only if your Air Transat flight leaves from an EU airport. APPR covers all flights within, to, or from Canada.

  • When You Are Not Eligible

    Some events are out of Air Transat control, such as:

    Bad weather.
    Airport worker strikes.
    Air traffic issues
    Safety-related tech problems.
