Philip Meeson, executive chairman of Jet2’s owner, Dart Group, wants flight compensation rules to be more lenient. Seeing how Jet2 paid 32 million pounds (about €37m) last year, they seem to have a good reason to desire change. On the other hand, maybe they should improve their service instead?
Boeing 737 MAX 8 continues to cause issues even when it’s safely stuck on the ground. The questionable future availability of the type is what Ryanair is blaming for the airline’s decision to cancel several routes. Meanwhile, Flybe is cancelling flights to reign in its system.
