French madness: More Delays and Cancellations from Marseille

France’s aviation industry has a really tough period these days. Despite Air France workers strikes, air traffic controllers from the Marseille region have also decided to go on 48 hours strike. They noticed, that these actions are called for a salary increase.

According to the air traffic controllers announcement, employees will hold 48 hours strike from 7th to 9th of April. It is still unclear how much this strike will affect flights, but delayed and cancelled flights are expected.

“A number of strikes are increasing every year. Unfortunately, but passengers usually have their flights delayed or even canceled because of these. But even during this kind of flight disruptions passengers have their rights. Carriers need to take care of their customers according to the EC 261/2004 Regulation,” comments Marius Stonkus, the CEO of flight compensation company Skycop.
